Wellness and Vaccines
A large part of what we do is to try to keep your pet healthy so you both can have a long time together. Preventatives, vaccines, and lab tests offered to aide in healthy pets.
Sick Pet Care
We are a full service hospital and can run many in house tests accessible to diagnose and treat your pet. Digital X-Ray on site.
**We are not staffed 24/7 for overnight care, so we refer cases that need ICU care. **

Surgery
We offer most types of surgeries. Whether its a spay / neuter or an intensive surgery, we can take care of most of your surgical concerns.
Rabies Policy*
We require the Rabies vaccine for all dogs/cats that come in to our facility. This is for the protection of all our staff and your pets. Also State Law.
Decreasing Fear and Anxiety
There are multiple ways in which we try to decrease your pets stress during the visit. We believe going to the vet shouldn't be a hateful thing.
Ultrasound

Medical imaging tool that can see into the abdomen for bladder assessment, pregnancy check, free fluid, etc. For full abdominal or Echo we refer to other sites with larger machines.
PRESCRIPTION POLICY:
For ALL prescription refills, PLEASE give us 24 hrs notice**
Many prescriptions require Doctor authorization prior to refilling, which we cannot do on-the-spot.

Therapy Medical Laser
​
Laser combines wavelengths, pulsing and power to achieve unparalleled therapeutic effects including modulation of inflammation, reduction in pain, accelerated tissue healing and increased circulation.
PennHIP certified
This is a radiographic screening method for hip evaluation that is a more scientific way to assess for future problem hips than OFA.
Large Animal Services
Wellness Care for Large animal/Farm needs. Vaccines, Exams, Coggins, Floating teeth, Castrations, + more. Haul in services available. Farm Call service option.
**We are not equipped to do emergency farm calls same day or Large animal Walk-In emergencies.** If an emergency arises, please call us first. We may be able to accommodate certain issues, but with being a small practice, we don't have the option to keep someone on standby for emergencies of that time requirement. We will help find a facility that may be able to help with your emergency needs.
Dental Care
Dental cleanings are a major part of overall health for your pet. We have the tools to get your pets mouth healthy again, whether its a routine cleaning or one with multiple teeth needing extracted. We now have Dental Radiographs, for better under the gum care.

OUR CLINIC
Dr. Kim VanLaarhoven (Kulik) has been in the area since 2008 working for other veterinary hospitals. In 2018, she decided to branch out and open her own clinic in Florence, WI.

Nose to Tail Animal Hospital moved to a brand new built clinic as of September 2022. We offer many services to the Northwoods. Our clinic offers general wellness appointments, sick pet appointments, general surgery, large animal care and more! We are hoping to offer a different kind of care, more centered on decreasing pet stress and anxiety, while still trying to be affordable.

For our small animal folks, we have 4 exam rooms and a large treatment area to take care of our smaller patients.
For our large animal folks, we have an outdoor covered area to treat our larger animals if they are able to be trailered in or we are also able to drive out to farms if they are within an hour of the clinic.
​
Kim has worked hard to try and create a wonderful hospital where you and your pets are the main focus. This is a primary care facility, ranging from disease prevention and health maintenance to general medicine and surgery.
